This month’s episode of the Fckng- Tour Life Blog started in Amsterdam. Some week at the end of October is always „Amsterdam Dance Event“. Every Promoter and every Manager hates this time of the year because for the Management Team it means „Meetings, Meetings, Meetings“. (my manager had 42 meetings- OMG Haha) For every party guest its heaven on earth. Nearly EVERY DJ would be in Amsterdam around this time and in the week of ADE, the hole city is just one big party. For DJ’s is a mixture of both. ADE means, on one hand, a lot of gigs and many interviews, but it also means you meet a lot of friends and Dj colleagues around and have a lot of fun. And that’s how it was for me:

We started on Wednesday with a small panel discussion for Cercle, where I was invited. That was very cool for me. It was my first time participating at such a panel and the visitors asked us very interesting question. The night went on with a label night at „Elementenstraat“. The party was very good and we had a lot of fun. Many of my fans showed up with masks and that made me once more very happy.

The next day was completely in the sign of interviews. I had 3 interviews in our hotel and one more for Deezer. Therefore we went to Deezer place. That was a little bit redundant because we went through the whole city to get to Deezer but the interview time was less than a minute haha. Anyway… Through the whole week of ADE, we enjoyed that we had some time all together in one place and enjoyed our quality time with friends to the fullest. We had good dinners, nice drinks, and good conversations. Staying at the same place for more than one day is a very rare thing for us and we took a big pleasure out of it. The next day was completely free. I used the time to visit the spa with my girlfriend and went to the sauna. That did me so well. Every time I go to the sauna I am extremely relaxed afterward and all the stress from traveling falls of me at once. We also visited the Banksy Exhibition at a museum and did some things we usually don’t have time for. That was great!

The last day of ADE (Saturday) was reserved for a daytime gig at the gashouder. We spent a great time there!!! The crowd went super wild and I was amazed by how full the party was, even it was during the daytime. For me, it was a little unusual to play in a dark „techno tent“ at around 3 p.m. on Saturday, but I had very much fun!!! On Sunday we went back home and were happy about the great time we spent in Amsterdam.

The next Friday started with an unusual experience. We should fly regularly to Wroclaw. Nothing special for now. We went to the airport, passed security and went to the lounge. Everything as usual. But when we went to the gate (later than scheduled because there was no call for boarding) a very unfriendly woman told us that boarding was already over and closed the gate right in front of our eyes. We told her (very friendly) that the official rule says that one can board the aircraft until 15!! Minutes before departure. We arrived there at 16! Minutes before departure but she wouldn’t let us in. The lady was unkindness in person and transformed our morning from one minute to another in a bad one. We called our photographer (who was already on the plane) and told him we missed our flight. By the way: In 11 years of traveling, that was the first time I missed a flight haha. Long discussions with many airport employees followed and it took 5 people nearly 2 hours to find a possibility to get us to Warsaw this day. Since there were no more (free) flights to Warsaw or other cities nearby, the only chance was a flight to Poznan in the afternoon with subsequently 3,5 hours car ride to Warsaw.

We arrived just at midnight and luckily made it right on point for the party there. What a hurry!! But that all paid off! The party location in Warsaw was stunning and 5000 great dancing people made this night unforgettable. It filled me to the fullest with happiness and joy.

The next day we traveled to Berlin for a „Boris Brejcha in concert“ show. We arrived in the evening and after a quick soundcheck and a small dinner, there was no time left for anything but a super short power nap. The show was great. The „Velodrome“ was a perfect location and the crowd was full of energy. Maaany friends of mine joined the party in Berlin and we all had a great time. All of the fans showed so much love and it made me one more time speechless that we sold out such a big arena with our concert. AMAZING! Sometimes I feel guilty because I would like to give EVERY fan back all of the love they show to me, but that’s impossible…

Only three days later we were already on the way to Dubai. That was a gig, where I felt a very special excitement. I was one time in Dubai before and that was a very small (and to be honest, not good) party. But I enjoyed the time there very much. A very good friend of mine was also there, randomly, and joined us at all the activities. We had a lot of fun! Ann Clue was also with us and our photographer celebrated his birthday over there. We enjoyed some traditional food and even went to play golf. I played it for the first time and it was surprisingly very exhausting. The party in Dubai was great and we enjoyed the last warm sun rays of the year over there a lot.

After two short but sunny days in Dubai, we went further to Istanbul.

We landed for the first time at the new airport in Istanbul and it’s just too huge. It took us over 45 minutes to walk to the Exit! Crazy! You don’t need this when you’re tired. haha. When we arrived at our Hotel (I love this one, we come back every year) a big surprise awaited me. All of the hotel employees awaited us with a mask of cardboard. Even the bellboy and the man at the check-in desk wore those. That made me a little emotional. Such an extraordinary and cool gesture. That definitely made my day!! After a dinner with the whole crew, we went for a short sleep and then off to the party. The parties have always a great vibe over there. The crowd was in a good mood and I enjoyed it to play another label night with the whole crew this month. We really had a lot of joy.

The last gig for the weekend was Tbilisi in Georgia...

It was a little bit stressy because it was the third gig of the week and that’s too much. I try to keep it with two gigs per weekend because everything more, is more stress than joy… not good. Nevertheless, everything worked out well. The Location in Georgia was very special because it was an old goods station where even the rails are still visible. Very cool and thrilling. Sadly, I got a little bit sick the day after the gig, because it was very cold in the hangar but the backstage was very warm. So I played with a t-shirt and got cold during my set. But the party was again very good and I loved to play for the Georgian crowd.

We used the midday hours before we left to visit a few beautiful places around and went for some photoshoots. The nature in Georgia is awesome and we got some nice pictures. Yeah!

When we arrived back home in the evening, I was happy to spend a relaxing one at home without doing anything… I gathered strength for the next weeks and prepared myself for the upcoming month full of more good parties…
